Urad prices continue to fluctuate

Chennai. During the current week, urad prices witnessed a bullish and bearish trend. Buying and selling remained sluggish. The pressure in the market has increased due to the increase in the arrival of new urad in the major producing markets of Maharashtra and Karnataka. However, due to excessive rain during harvesting, the fields are filled with water, which has negatively affected the quality of urad. Especially, the arrival of tainted and high moisture goods is increasing in the markets of Maharashtra, due to which there is instability in the prices.
