Price of Tuvar falls due to weak demand
Mumbai. Due to sluggish demand for Tuvar dal, demand of dal millers for Tuvar has remained sluggish. Due to which, prices of Tuvar have declined during the current week as well. In Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, the crop got as much rain as it needed. The condition of the crop is also very good, if the weather cooperates, there can be a record increase in productivity per hectare this year. Sowing in Karnataka has crossed the government target, sowing in Maharashtra and Gujarat was also more than last year. African Tuvar goods have started arriving at Mumbai Port. Due to this pressure, importers sold African Tuvar by reducing the price this week. Due to increased selling pressure, Mumbai African Tuvar witnessed a decline of Rs. 400/600 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices remained at Rs. 9500 for Mozambique White, Rs. 9400 for Gajari, Rs. 9000 for Malawi and Rs. 11000 per quintal for Sudan at the weekend. Chennai Tuvar Lemon also declined by Rs. 100 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 10350/10400 per quintal at the weekend.
Burma
Due to weak export demand, a sharp decline of $ 65 per ton was registered in Burma Tuvar this week and with this decline, the prices remained at $ 1250 per ton at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the fall in demand at the port, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 and Desi Tuvar also witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Rs. 10750 for Lemon, Rs. 10950 for Maharashtra Line and Rs. 11150 per quintal for Karnataka Line.
Maharashtra
Due to lack of buyers, the prices of Maharashtra Tuvar remained sluggish by Rs. 200/300 per quintal this week and the prices at the weekend remained at Rs. 10700/11400 for Solapur, Rs. 11250/11550 for Akola, Rs. 11600/11650 for Nagpur, Rs. 10000/11000 for Hinganghat and Rs. 10900/11100 per quintal for Ahmednagar.
Karnataka
Due to sluggish demand from dal millers, Karnataka tuvar prices witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Gulbarga Rs. 11000/11500, Raichur Rs. 7856/9706, Yadgir Rs. 10500/10800 and Talikota Rs. 10225/10511 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to increase in selling and sluggish buying, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Katni Rs. 11600/11700, Jabalpur Rs. 8000/10000, Pipariya Rs. 8500/10700 and Kareli Rs. 9350/10101 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak buying, Raipur Tuvar declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 11600/11900 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur Tuvar also declined by Rs 100 per quintal during the current week to Rs 10300 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to the fall in prices of Tuvar and calm demand, Tuvar Dal prices have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend stood at Delhi Fatka Rs. 15800/16325, Katni Fatka Rs. 15250/15450, Akola Rs. 15100/16900, Latur Fatka Rs. 16400/16600, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 15400/16000 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 15600/15900 per quintal.
