Tuvar prices continue to fluctuate due to weak demand

Mumbai. Tuvar prices remained volatile during the current week due to sluggish demand. Due to weak demand for Tuvar dal, the demand of dal millers for Tuvar remained limited. Due to which pressure remains on prices. Due to calm buying and selling, no fluctuation was seen in the prices of African Tuvar at Mumbai Port this week and the prices remained stable at Mozambique white Rs. 9300/9400, Gajari Rs. 9100/9200, Malawi Rs. 8800/8900, Dodomo Rs. 9400 and Sudan Rs. 10950 per quintal at the end of the week. Whereas, due to increased demand for lemon Tuvar, an improvement of Rs. 100 per quintal was recorded and with this improvement, the price became Chennai Lemon Rs. 10300/10375 per quintal at the end of the week.

Burma

Due to continued export demand, Burma Tuvar witnessed a rise of $ 20 per ton this week and with this rise, the price reached $ 1245 per ton at the weekend.

Delhi

Due to the support of the rise in the port and improvement in the demand, during the current week, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed an improvement of Rs 100 and Desi Tuvar also witnessed an improvement of Rs 100 per quintal and with this improvement, the price reached Lemon Rs 10750/10800, Maharashtra line Rs 11000 and Karnataka line Rs 11200 per quintal at the weekend.

Maharashtra

Due to increased selling pressure at higher prices and weak demand, Maharashtra Tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and the weekend prices remained at Solapur Rs. 10700/11500, Akola Rs. 11300, Nagpur Rs. 11400, Hinganghat Rs. 10000/10950, Latur Rs. 11000 and Ahmednagar Rs. 10700/10900 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to increased demand from dal millers, Karnataka Tuvar prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the weekend prices became Gulbarga Rs. 11000/11600, Yadgir Rs. 9009/10900 and Talikot Rs. 8500/10409 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to calm buying, prices of Madhya Pradesh Tuvar witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices remained at Katni Rs. 11300/11400, Jabalpur Rs. 7000/10000, Pipariya Rs. 8500/10000 and Kareli Rs. 8800/9750 per quintal at the weekend.

Others

Due to increased buying, Raipur Tuvar increased by Rs. 200 per quintal this week and reached Rs. 11500/11800 per quintal at the weekend. Whereas Kanpur Tuvar decreased by Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and remained at Rs. 9900 per quintal at the weekend.

Tuvar Dal

Due to sluggish demand, the prices of Tuvar Dal witnessed a rise and fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this rise and fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Fatka Rs. 15575/16150, Katni Fatka Rs. 15050/15250, Akola Rs. 15000/16500, Latur Fatka Rs. 16100/16300, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 15700/16100 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 15200/15600 per quintal.
