Peas prices fall due to sluggish buying

Kanpur. During the current week, a downward trend has been observed in the prices of peas. Due to continued weakness in demand and increasing selling pressure, pressure remained on the prices of peas. Due to the availability of sufficient stock, the activity of buyers remained low due to sluggish demand, due to which pressure remained on the prices. Due to the continued selling pressure of importers and sluggish buying, the prices of imported peas also declined by Rs 100/150 per quintal during the current week and the prices remained at Mumbai Canada Rs 3350, Russia Rs 3200 and currency Canada Rs 3150/3200 and Russia Rs 3050/3100 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kolkata peas also declined by Rs 25/50 per quintal this week and remained at Canada Rs 3700 and Russia Rs 3600 per quintal at the weekend. Due to sluggish demand, Kanpur pea prices witnessed a rise and fall of Rs 25/50 per quintal this week and with this rise and fall, the prices remained stable at Rs 3475/3500 per quintal at the weekend. Lalitpur pea prices witnessed a fall of Rs 50 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Rs 3000/3350 per quintal at the weekend. Due to lack of consumer support, Orai pea prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal this week and remained at Rs 3000/3100 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Konch pea prices also declined by Rs 100 per quintal this week and remained at Rs 3000/3030 per quintal. Due to sluggish demand, Madhya Pradesh pea prices witnessed a rise and fall of Rs 50 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Rs 3200/3250 for Bina and Rs 3200/3260 per quintal for Damoh at the weekend.

Due to the fall in the price of peas and weak buying, the prices of peas dal declined by Rs. 50 per quintal during the current week and at the end of the week the prices remained at Rs. 3850/3900 in Kanpur and Rs. 4000/4050 per quintal in Indore.
