Moong prices rise due to weak selling and increased buying.

New Delhi. Moong crop is getting damaged due to continuous rain in moong producing areas. Seeing the damage to the crop, the selling of stockists remained weak and the buying of dal millers increased. Due to which the prices of moong remained bullish during the current week. Due to increased buying by dal millers, Delhi moong prices saw a rise of Rs 100/200 per quintal this week and the price reached Rs 8400/8700 per quintal at the weekend.

Rajasthan

The rain in the producing areas caused 20/25 percent damage to the moong crop in Rajasthan. Due to weakening of selling and increase in buying, the prices of moong in the markets of Rajasthan have increased by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and the prices at the weekend became Jodhpur Rs. 6300/7800, Jaipur Rs. 7400/8500, Sumerpur Rs. 7000/7800, Nagaur Rs. 7000/7800 and Kishangarh Rs. 7000/8000 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to better buying, the prices of moong in Madhya Pradesh have increased by Rs. 200/300 per quintal during the current week and the prices at the weekend became Pipariya Rs. 6500/8575, Indore Rs. 7800/8300, Kareli Rs. 6500/8400 and Jabalpur Rs. 7000/8050 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to better buying of new moong by dal millers and stockists, prices of Karnataka moong registered an increase of Rs. 200/300 per quintal this week and at the end of the week the prices became Gulbarga Rs. 6500/8300, Bidar Rs. 7196/8629, Hubli Rs. 7027/8270, Yadgir Rs. 7451/8669 and Gadag Rs. 7467/9311 per quintal.

Maharashtra

Due to increased pressure of arrivals in the producing markets and weak demand, prices of Maharashtra moong declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and at the end of the week, the prices remained at Latur Rs. 7000/8400, Akola Rs. 7550/101150, Barshi Rs. 7000/8300, Ahmednagar Rs. 6500/8500 and Dudhani Rs. 7200/8400 per quintal.

Others

Due to support of all round uptrend and better buying, prices of Lalitpur moong increased by Rs. 300 per quintal this week and with this increase, the price reached Rs. 8000/8500 per quintal at the end of the week.

Moong Dal

Due to bullish support and improvement in demand of Moong, prices of Moong Dal witnessed a rise of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and the prices at the weekend became Delhi Rs. 10500/13100, Jodhpur Rs. 10100/10400, Jaipur Rs. 10100, Bhatapara Rs. 10500, Jalgaon Rs. 10700 and Indore Rs. 9000/10600 per quintal.
