Tamil Nadu Monsoon Report 2024: Very Heavy Rainfall in Western Districts, Severe Deficit in Northeastern Coastal Areas — IMD
★ Western and some southern districts of the state recorded very heavy rainfall (60% or more above normal), while northeastern coastal districts witnessed a significant deficit, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Very Heavy Rainfall (60% or more above normal):
★ Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Tirunelveli, Theni, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Salem, Perambalur.

★ Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Trichy, Kanyakumari, Ramanathapuram, Dharmapuri, Karur.
