USDA reported private export sales this morning of 340,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for 2026/27 shipment and 100,000 metric tons of 2026/27 soybeans to unknown destinations.
Tuesday’s NASS Crop Progress report showed soybean condition ratings steady at 58% good to excellent. The Brugler500 index was also unchanged at 353. According to the Brugler500 index, ratings were down 2 points in Illinois, 1 point in Indiana, 5 points in Iowa, 1 point in Minnesota, 13 points in Missouri, 9 points in North Dakota, and 1 point in Wisconsin. Improvement was noted in some fringe states, including Michigan (+14), Nebraska (+1), Ohio (+1), and South Dakota (+6).
USDA will update its data on Friday. The Bloomberg trader survey expects soybean yield to be trimmed by 0.3 bushels per acre to an average of 52.4 bushels per acre. Production is estimated to decline by 27 million bushels to 4.492 billion bushels.
According to data released by Stats Canada this morning, Canadian canola stocks as of July 31 stood at 1.899 million metric tons, up 18.9% from a year ago.
The Rosario Grains Exchange estimates Argentina’s 2026/27 soybean crop at 47.8 million metric tons, down 0.2 million metric tons from the previous estimate.
According to the Buenos Aires Grains Exchange, soybean acreage is expected to increase by 1.2% to 17 million hectares, or approximately 42 million acres.
