USDA reported a private export sale of 182,880 metric tons of corn to Mexico this morning for 2026/27 shipment.

This week’s Crop Progress report showed corn condition ratings down 1 percentage point to 46% in good to excellent condition. The Brugler500 index remained steady at 347. According to the Brugler500, ratings were down 3 points in Illinois, 1 point in Iowa, 8 points in Kansas, 6 points in Minnesota, 9 points in Missouri, 3 points in Nebraska, 11 points in North Dakota, and 1 point in Wisconsin. Improvement was noted in Colorado (+17), Kentucky (+13), Michigan (+4), Ohio (+3), and South Dakota (+13).

According to a Bloomberg survey of traders, USDA is expected to cut corn yield by an average of 2.6 bushels per acre on Friday, bringing the average estimate to 178.1 bushels per acre. Production is expected to decline by 236 million bushels from August to 15.777 billion bushels.

Weekly EIA data will be released on Thursday due to Monday’s holiday, while the Export Sales report will be released on Friday.

According to the Rosario Grains Exchange, Argentina’s 2026/27 corn crop is estimated in a range of 67.5 to 70.5 million metric tons, up from the previous estimate of 66 million metric tons.
