New Delhi. The Central Government has decided to start the second phase of sale of Bharat Brand food products from October 23, 2024 and the necessary preparations have also been completed by the three authorized agencies - NAFED, NCCF and Central Store.

The highest selling price (MRP) of some products has been increased slightly for the second phase as compared to the first phase.

Under this, the MRP of Bharat Brand flour has been fixed at Rs 300 per 10 kg, rice at Rs 340 per 10 kg, gram dal at Rs 70 per kg, whole gram at Rs 58 per kg, moong dal at Rs 107 per kg, whole moong at Rs 93 per kg and lentil at Rs 89 per kg.

During the first phase, the MRP of flour was fixed at Rs. 275 per 10 kg, chana dal at Rs. 60 per kg and moong dal at Rs. 107 per kg.

Masoor dal has been included in this list for the first time. The government hopes that like the first phase, in the second phase too, Bharat Brand rice, flour and pulses will sell well and this will provide some relief to the common people from food inflation.

It is believed that despite this price hike, the price of government flour, rice and pulses is lower than the prevailing price in the open market. Its sale will formally begin from Wednesday, October 23.
