Raisins – No Price Surge Expected

In the immediate future, there appears to be no likelihood of a rise in raisin prices. This is because, on one hand, the influx of new stock into the markets at production hubs is increasing; on the other, reports suggest that production during the current season has been robust.

Consequently, the market is expected to remain subdued for the time being. Currently, in the Sangli and Tasgaon markets, the price for new raisins is being quoted at ₹310–₹330 per kilogram; however, it is projected that these rates will decline to ₹280–₹300 per kilogram in the coming days.

At present, daily arrivals in the Sangli and Tasgaon markets stand at 50 metric tons, a figure that is expected to rise to between 80 and 100 metric tons in the days ahead.
