Nine KOAT-MOPA Teams Formed for Nationwide Mustard Crop Survey

New Delhi. The Central Organization for Oil Industry and Trade (KOAT), the apex body of the indigenous vegetable oil industry and trade, and the Mustard Oil Processors Association (MOPA), a leading organization, have formed nine teams to conduct a nationwide survey of mustard, the most important oilseed crop of the Rabi season. These teams have also been assigned areas for crop surveys.

Each team will conduct crop surveys in their respective regions from February 10 to 20, 2026. This will involve collecting data on mustard sown area by region, estimating the estimated mustard yield based on crop conditions, estimating the oil content of mustard seeds, and determining the likely arrival time of the new crop. This will help in preparing a crop production report.

Of the nine teams formed, the first team has been assigned to survey entire Haryana and some parts of Rajasthan - Alwar, Khervi, Khairthal, Kotputli, Shahpura, Behror, Rewari, Narnaul, Chaumu, Niwai, Tonk, Diggi, Malpura, Kekri, Deoli, Dausa, Bandikui, Lalsore, Gangapur City, Sawai Madhopur, the third team to Agra, Hathras, Koshi, Hapur,

Aligarh and other areas of UP, the fourth team to Kota, Baran, Bundi, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Jhalra Patan and other districts of Kota and Baran divisions, the fifth team to Bharatpur, Nadwai,

Deeg, Kama, Bayana, Kumher and Mustard Research Centre (Farmer Meeting), the sixth team to Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Nagaur, Merta, Ajmer, Beawar, Pali, Sumerpur and Jalore, the seventh team to survey entire Gujarat, the eighth team to Madhya Pradesh and the ninth team to survey other states.
