Mustard Market in the Past 26 Days: Strong Price Surge, Jaipur and Hapur Lead the Rally

In the past few weeks, mustard prices have seen a steady rise across major mandis in the country. Between June 2 and June 26, Jaipur recorded the highest increase, with prices jumping from ₹6,600 to ₹6,900 per quintal — a surge of ₹300.

In Hapur (including GST), prices rose by ₹250, reaching ₹6,850 per quintal from the earlier level of ₹6,600.

Other mandis such as Bharatpur, Alwar, Khairthal, Niwai, and Tonk also witnessed gains of ₹200 to ₹205 per quintal.

Meanwhile, in Morena, Porsa, and Charkhi Dadri, prices increased by ₹150 per quintal, indicating sustained demand for mustard across the country.

During this period, total arrivals in mustard mandis also declined. On June 2, the nationwide arrival was around 5.5 lakh bags (each 50 kg), which dropped to just 4.5 lakh bags by June 26.

Mustard oil prices also increased by ₹50 to ₹60 per 20 kg during these 26 days.

Given the ongoing bullish trend, some market correction is expected in the coming days. Stakeholders are advised to stay cautious as continuous price rise could lead to short-term volatility.

However, we believe that after a brief correction, prices may firm up again with renewed strength.
