International Cotton Market Update
ICE cotton futures closed Thursday's session with gains of 26 to 33 points. Crude oil futures fell by $1.17 per barrel during the day, while the U.S. dollar index remained stable.
The Seam reported online sales of 6,265 bales on January 22, with an average price of 60.91 cents/pound. ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 218 bales on Monday. The Cotlook A Index rose by 5 points on January 22, reaching 78.10 cents/pound.
The USDA Adjusted World Price (AWP) dropped by an additional 27 points compared to the previous week, settling at 53.71 cents/pound on Thursday afternoon.
