International Corn Markets
The international corn markets are seeing steady developments this week:
Ethanol Production: Weekly EIA (Energy Information Administration) data, expected Friday morning, is anticipated to show stable ethanol production levels. Last week, production exceeded 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd).
Export Sales: U.S. export sales data, also due Friday, is projected to indicate bookings of 1 to 1.6 million metric tons (MMT) for the 2024/25 marketing year. For the 2025/26 marketing year, expectations are modest, ranging from 0 to 50,000 metric tons.
Brazilian Corn Exports: Brazil’s corn exports for December are forecasted at 4.1 MMT, according to ANEC (National Association of Cereal Exporters). This estimate aligns with their previous projection.
These figures reflect a stable outlook for both U.S. and Brazilian corn markets, with significant interest in export activities.
