International Corn Market
According to the weekly EIA (Energy Information Administration) data, ethanol production rose by 21,000 barrels per day during the week ending April 18, reaching 1.033 million barrels per day (bpd). Despite this, ethanol stocks declined by 1.333 million barrels to a total of 25.481 million barrels.
Ethanol exports dropped by 62,000 bpd week-over-week, falling to 75,000 bpd. Meanwhile, ethanol input by refiners increased by 19,000 bpd to 921,000 bpd — the highest level since October 25. Implied gasoline usage (product supplied) also climbed to 9.414 million bpd, the highest since July 2024.
Export Sales data, set to be released Thursday morning, is expected to show 2024/25 corn sales between 0.8 and 1.3 million metric tons (MMT) for the week ending April 17. New crop sales are anticipated to range from 0 to 100,000 metric tons (MT).
