GPC द्वारा आयोजित वेबिनार में मसूर पर हुई चर्चा के दौरान कह गयी बातें
राव कपूर, CEO TTG ने कहा कि
★ इस वर्ष लाल व हरी मसूर के बाजार अलग अलग चलेंगे।
★ विदेशों से लाल मसूर की डिमांड रह सकती है कमजोर जबकि हरी मसूर की बढ़ेगी।
★ स्टैट्स कनाडा ने 25 लाख टन मसूर उत्पादन का दिया अनुमान, गत वर्ष के 16.7 लाख टन से अधिक जबकि विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि उत्पादन 1-1.5 लाख टन कम रह सकती है। लाल मसूर का उत्पादन 15-16 लाख टन रहने की उम्मीद।
★ टर्की व भारत लाल मसूर के सबसे बड़े खरीदार।
★ टर्की कज़ाकिस्तान व रशिया से भी करता है आयात।
★ दोनों देशों में 3-4 लाख टन लाल मसूर व 1-1.5 लाख टन हरी मसूर उत्पादन होता है।
★ दिसंबर से जनवरी में टर्की इन दोनों देशों से करेगा आयात।
★ भारत में सरकार के पास 7-8 लाख टन मसूर व बाजारों में 2-2.5 लाख टन मसूर उपलब्ध।
★ नई फसल मार्च में आएगी 22 लाख टन खपत को देखते हुए देश में 6 महीने का स्टॉक उपलब्ध।
★ कनाडा में फसलों की कटाई जोरों पर, ऑस्ट्रेलिया में नई फसल नवम्बर-दिसंबर में आएगी, उत्पादन 17 लाख टन रहने का अनुमान।
★ अगर कनाडा व ऑस्ट्रेलिया के आकड़ें मिलाएं तो कम से कम 30 लाख टन की उपलब्धता बैठती है।
★ 1 साल तक लाल मसूर की उपलब्धता बनी रहेगी जिससे कीमतों पर बन सकता है दबाव।
★ कनाडा में बड़ी हरी मसूर का उत्पादन 6 लाख टन अन्य वेरायटी का 2-3 लाख टन हो सकता है उत्पादन।
★ विदेशों से डिमांड बनी रहने की उम्मीद। अगले 3-5 महीने में बढ़ सकता है निर्यात।
★ कोलंबिया ग्रेन इंटरनेशनल कंपनी के ट्रेडर के अनुसार अमरीका में हरी मसूर का उत्पादन 4.3 लाख टन पहुंचने की उम्मीद। गत वर्ष से 65% अधिक।

★ देश में मसूर की उपलब्धता अच्छी, विदेशों से बड़ी मात्रा में हुआ आयात, उपलब्धता बढ़ने से कीमतों पर बना दबाव, भाव MSP से नीचे आये, अगर सरकार द्वारा आयात शुल्क में बदलाव नहीं किया जाता तो आगामी सीजन में किसान मसूर की बिजाई के बारे में जरुर सोचेगा। बड़ी मात्रा में करनी पड़ सकती है सरकारी खरीद।
★ बढ़ती उपलब्धता के कारण भविष्य में मसूर की कीमतों पर दबाव बना रह सकता है।

Rao Kapoor, CEO TTG said that
★ This year the markets of red and green lentils will run separately.
★ The demand for red lentils from abroad may remain weak while that of green lentils will increase.
★ Stats Canada has estimated 25 lakh tonnes of lentil production, more than last year's 16.7 lakh tonnes, while experts believe that the production may be 1-1.5 lakh tonnes less. Red lentil production is expected to be 15-16 lakh tonnes.
★ Turkey and India are the biggest buyers of red lentils.
★ Turkey also imports from Kazakhstan and Russia.
★ Both countries produce 3-4 lakh tonnes of red lentils and 1-1.5 lakh tonnes of green lentils.
★ Turkey will import from these two countries from December to January.
★ In India, the government has 7-8 lakh tons of lentils and 2-2.5 lakh tons of lentils are available in the markets.
★ New crop will arrive in March, 22 lakh tons; 6 months of stock is available in the country considering the consumption.
★ Crop harvesting is in full swing in Canada, new crop will arrive in Australia in November-December, production is estimated to be 17 lakh tons.
★ If we combine the figures of Canada and Australia, then there is a minimum availability of 30 lakh tons.
★ Availability of red lentils will remain for 1 year, which can put pressure on prices.
★ Production of large green lentils in Canada is 6 lakh tons, production of other varieties can be 2-3 lakh tons.
★ Demand is expected to remain from abroad. Exports can increase in the next 3-5 months.
★ According to the trader of Columbia Grain International Company, the production of green lentils in America is expected to reach 4.3 lakh tons. 65% more than last year.

★ Availability of lentils in the country is good, large quantities have been imported from abroad, increased availability has put pressure on prices, prices have come below MSP, if the government does not change the import duty, then farmers will definitely think about sowing lentils in the coming season. Government purchases may have to be made in large quantities.
★ Due to increasing availability, there may be pressure on lentil prices in the future.
