ICE cotton futures recovered from early weakness on Wednesday and closed with gains ranging from 15 to 81 points. The U.S. dollar index fell by 0.354 points to close at 99.405. Crude oil prices declined by $2.51 following a statement from President Trump suggesting that Iran may be seeking a ceasefire. He is expected to address the nation later in the evening, which may provide further clarity on the next steps in the conflict.

On March 31, The Seam platform recorded sales of 19,245 bales of cotton at an average price of 73.86 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index rose by 75 points on Tuesday to 80.95 cents per pound. ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 114,665 bales on March 31. Last Thursday, the Adjusted World Price was increased by 25 points to 54.47 cents per pound.
