ICE cotton futures posted gains of 15 to 56 points during Wednesday’s session. The US dollar index was up by $0.253 at 99.495. Crude oil prices were down $1.06 on the day and nearly $5.00 below recent lows.
The Seam reported sales of 2,087 bales on Tuesday at an average price of 68.17 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index fell by 10 points on March 24 to 77.75 cents per pound.
ICE certified cotton stocks increased by 975 bales on March 24, bringing the total to 114,665 bales. The Adjusted World Price was raised by 2.72 cents last Thursday to 54.22 cents per pound.
