ICE cotton futures posted losses of 90 to 102 points in the front months on Monday. Crude oil rose $4.01 following the US/Israel strikes on Iran over the weekend, though it was about $4 below overnight highs. The US Dollar Index was up 0.940 at 98.505. Uncertainty related to China, after it condemned the US strikes on Iran, weighed on the market.
The Seam reported sales of 3,011 bales on February 27, at an average price of 62.83 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index fell 80 points on Thursday to 75.65 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks increased by 6,721 bales on February 26, bringing total certified stocks to 126,178 bales. The Adjusted World Price rose 1.79 cents last week to 51.84 cents per pound.
