ICE cotton futures posted gains of 35 to 42 points across most contracts on Tuesday, while the March contract remained nearly unchanged on thin trading. Crude oil futures were down 18 cents per barrel at $66.13, and the US Dollar Index rose by 0.194 to 97.835.
The Seam reported sales of 6,714 bales on February 23 at an average price of 58.60 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index rose by 160 points on Friday to 75.75 cents per pound.
ICE certified cotton stocks were steady at 119,457 bales on February 23. The Adjusted World Price (AWP) increased by 66 points last Thursday to 50.05 cents per pound.
