With just 3 days left for price discovery for the spring base price for crop insurance, December corn has averaged $4.60 per bushel this month, which is about 10 cents lower than last year.
Weekly data from the EIA will be released Wednesday morning, with ethanol production for the week ending February 20 expected to be steady to slightly higher than the previous week.
Brazil’s ANEC estimates February corn exports at 1.13 MMT, nearly unchanged from last week’s estimate of 1.12 MMT.
