ICE cotton futures weakened on Wednesday, with contracts falling between 67 and 119 points. Crude oil prices rose by $5.34 per barrel, while the US Dollar Index strengthened by 0.586 points. The US Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged in its latest policy announcement.
The seven-day weather outlook indicates drier conditions across Texas, while the Delta region is expected to receive higher rainfall.
The Cotlook A Index rose by 100 points on July 28 to 90.10 cents per pound. ICE-certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 90,699 bales on Tuesday. The Adjusted World Price (AWP) was reduced by 155 points last week to 63.82 cents per pound and will remain effective through Thursday.
