According to the EIA’s Weekly Petroleum Status Report for the week ending July 24, ethanol production increased by 39,000 barrels per day to 1.133 million barrels per day, marking the second-highest weekly production on record. Ethanol stocks rose by 245,000 barrels to 24.726 million barrels. Meanwhile, ethanol exports declined by 21,000 barrels per day to 137,000 barrels per day, while refinery ethanol inputs increased by 1,000 barrels per day to 939,000 barrels per day.

Over the next seven days, 1 to 2 inches of rainfall is expected across much of eastern Nebraska, eastern parts of the Dakotas, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

The US Export Sales report will be released on Thursday. Traders expect old-crop corn export sales to range between 300,000 and 600,000 metric tonnes, while new-crop bookings for the 2026/27 marketing year are projected at 500,000 to 1 million metric tonnes.

A South Korean importer has purchased 69,000 metric tonnes of corn through an international tender.
