Kota. The supply situation of coriander is slowly becoming normal. But it may take some time for the pace of business to increase.

Due to heavy rains of southwest monsoon this year in top producing states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, many areas either got severely flooded or flood-like conditions were created.

This caused difficulties in transportation and the arrival of coriander in the markets was affected. But now the monsoon has slowed down and the weather has started clearing.

As a result, the arrival of coriander in Ramganj and Baran Mandi of Rajasthan increased to 5000-5500 bags and 2000 bags respectively on the last day. Earlier, due to weak market prices, coriander producers were unloading their goods in these markets in less quantity.

The price of coriander in these two major markets of Rajasthan - Ramganj and Baran is running between Rs 6700/7100 per quintal, which is considered to be a normal level.

According to trade analysts, there may be a limited ups and downs of Rs 100-200 per quintal in its price for the next few days.

After this, some improvement in its price can be expected when the demand of the festive season comes out. A good stock of coriander is still present and its export performance is also satisfactory.

Although there was some increase in the production area of coriander in Gujarat during the 2024-25 season, but its area had decreased in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The next sowing of coriander will be in October-November.

According to the Maize Board, during April-May 2025, as compared to April-May 2024, the export of coriander from the country increased from 11,476 tonnes to 13,858 tonnes and the income from this also jumped from Rs 115.77 crore to Rs 137.18 crore. Domestic demand is normal.
