Winnipeg. Due to favorable weather conditions in the Prairies division of Western Canada, the average yield rate of Kabuli gram is expected to improve while its sowing area has also increased.

As a result, its production may improve there this time. The time for harvesting the new crop is very near. With the help of favorable weather, the quality of Kabuli gram is expected to improve and the size of the grain is expected to remain large.

After visiting the major producing areas recently, a leading trade analyst found that only one pre-arranged and developed grain has come in many pods, whereas for the past few years small grains were coming in it.

This clearly indicates that during the current year, the production of good quality and large grained Kabuli gram will be more in Canada and the production of small grained gram will be less. Due to this, the price level may remain somewhat high in the coming months.

However, during the current week, there has been some decline in the price of Kabuli chana as buyers have started focusing on new goods instead of old stock.

The price is being quoted between 30 to 32 cents per pound based on the quality and delivery period of Kabuli chana. Prices may remain stable with limited fluctuations for some time.

On the other hand, due to bad weather in America, the rating of Kabuli chana crop has decreased slightly. Due to this, Canada is expected to get an opportunity to increase the export of its product there.
