Argentina reduced export tariffs on food grains
Argentina has reduced export tariffs on agricultural products from January 27 to June 30. The tax cuts are as follows:
Soybeans: Reduced from 33% to 26% (-7%)
Soy oil/soymeal: Reduced from 31% to 24.5% (-6.5%)
Grains (corn, wheat, sorghum): Reduced from 12% to 9% (-3%)
Sunflower oil: Reduced from 7% to 5.5% (-1.5%)
This move comes as the soybean harvest season begins, and the government aims to encourage farmers to sell more of their produce.
