Soybean Market and Soya Refined Market Update (04 October 2025)
Soybean Market and Soya Refined Market Update (04 October 2025) (MSP ₹5,328/quintal) Soybean mandis showed firmness this week. In Amravati, prices stood at ₹4,400, up by ₹200 from last week. This is ₹20 higher than the August average. However, compared to July, prices are down by ₹150, though they remain ₹150 higher than June levels. In Rajkot, prices reached ₹4,550, rising ₹150 week-on-week. They were equal to the August average but ₹50 lower than July. Compared to June, prices were up by ₹250. Kota witnessed the sharpest improvement, with prices at ₹4,522, a weekly gain of ₹222. This is ₹7 higher than the August average and a significant ₹272 above both July and June levels. Overall, Kota remained the strongest mandi, while Amravati and Rajkot were weaker compared to July. Soya Refined (₹/10 kg) Soya refined prices showed mixed trends. In Maharashtra Latur, prices remained steady at ₹1,265. This was ₹20 higher than August and ₹105 higher than June. At JNPT, prices slipped by ₹5 to ₹1,270. Still, they stood ₹10 above August and ₹100 higher than June. Kandla showed strength with prices rising ₹10 to ₹1,245. This was ₹25 higher than August and ₹120 above June. Overall, compared to June–July, the soya refined market is higher, though weekly fluctuations continue. After a long time, soybean prices have shown an uptrend, with fresh arrivals starting in mandis. Rainfall and viral damage caused losses in some areas, but overall crop conditions remain satisfactory. With reduced sowing area this season, production is estimated to shrink to 90–95 lakh tonnes. In Madhya Pradesh, the Bhavantar scheme for MSP support has been reintroduced. It remains to be seen whether the scheme succeeds this time. The previous version had faced large-scale misuse, so strict monitoring will be essential. A key question remains: Are farmers in other states receiving fair prices, or is there discrimination? We believe that in the coming days, higher-quality soybean may fetch significantly better prices.
