According to the Crop Progress Report, winter wheat has reached 11% heading, which is ahead of the 5-year average of 7%. The good/excellent condition rating declined by 1 point to 34%, while the Brugler500 Index dropped by 3 points to 295. State-wise, ratings fell by 20 points in Kansas, 18 points in Nebraska, and 7 points in Texas.
Spring wheat planting has reached 6%, which is behind the average of 7%.
According to the NOAA 7-day forecast, weather is expected to remain dry from western Kansas to the Texas Panhandle, while the SRW region may receive 1 to 3 inches of rainfall.
