Tur Prices Soften Due to Selling Pressure and Weak Demand

Mumbai: Tur prices declined during the current week due to increased selling pressure at higher levels and subdued buying activity. Given the elevated prices, traders and stockists prioritized profit-taking, leading to a bearish market sentiment. The availability of new tur in producing markets is continuously increasing. As harvesting and arrivals accelerate, supply pressure in the market is growing. Due to the increasing availability of the new crop, buying from stockists and pulse millers remains weak, further pressuring prices. Tur arrivals in the markets are expected to increase further in the coming days, which may lead to further price declines.
