Urad Prices Witness the Highest Rise This Week
★ Compared to Saturday, urad prices increased significantly by Thursday. In Akola, the urad bilty price rose by ₹100 to ₹8,250 per quintal. In Mumbai and Chennai, FAQ and SQ varieties increased by ₹225, closing at ₹8,025, ₹8,025, and ₹8,625 per quintal, respectively.
★ In the international market, Myanmar-origin urad FAQ and SQ increased by $20 each, reaching $860 per ton and $960 per ton, respectively, between Saturday and Thursday.
★ Compared to November, prices have risen significantly by March, with FAQ up by $85 per ton and SQ up by $105 per ton.
★ As soon as the government released production estimates, Myanmar exporters raised their prices, and this increase is now being reflected in the Indian markets.
★ According to IGrain India, urad prices are likely to remain firm in the coming days.
