Strong Corn Consumption in Ethanol Production During February
★ According to available information, 8.9 billion liters of ethanol were produced in February, of which grain contributed 5.8 billion liters and sugar-based sources accounted for 2.1 billion liters.
★ Within the grain category, 0.4 billion liters of ethanol was produced from damaged food grains, 1.7 billion liters from stored food grains (rice), and 3.7 billion liters from corn.
★ From sugar-based sources, 2.3 billion liters was produced from sugarcane juice, 0.7 billion liters from B-molasses, and 0.1 billion liters from C-molasses.
★ In January 2026, total ethanol production reached 9.1 billion liters, of which 5.52 billion liters came from grain and 3.6 billion liters from sugar-based sources.
★ In December, ethanol production reached the highest level of 10.2 billion liters, with corn-based ethanol accounting for 39% of the total output.
★ From November 2025 to February 2026, out of a total 32.8 billion liters of ethanol produced, 12.3 billion liters came from corn, 20.9 billion liters from total grains, 6.9 billion liters from rice, and 11.9 billion liters from sugarcane juice, B-molasses, and C-molasses.
