Sri Lanka BSAF successfully organized South Asia Agri Forum 2025

The South Asia Agri Forum 2025, organized by the India Subcontinent Agri Foundation (BSAF), took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 15-16 January.

The event brought together approximately 300 delegates from 40 countries, with notable personalities such as Eduard Zernin (President of the Rusgrain Union), Sunil Kumar Singh (AMD of NAFED, India), and John Southwell (Senior Trade and Investor Commissioner of Australia) among the attendees.

The forum focused on key agricultural topics, including the production, use, import-export dynamics, and challenges of major commodities such as gram, tuvar, masoor, peas, moong, edible oil, rice, wheat, maize, sugar, and spices.

The event also saw the signing of five mutual agreements, including a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NCDEX and the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The forum’s success was marked by robust participation from companies across several countries, including India, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the UAE, fostering cooperation and discussion on pressing agricultural issues in the region.
