Soybean oil gained some strength as reports suggested that the EPA’s Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO) figure for this year was leaked near the 5.4 billion gallon level. The official announcement is expected later this month.
USDA will release Export Sales data on Thursday morning. Traders expect soybean sales for the 2025/26 season in the week ending March 3 to range between 250,000 and 800,000 metric tons. New crop sales are estimated between 0 and 100,000 metric tons. Soybean oil sales are expected to range from 150,000 to 400,000 metric tons.
