Rain possible next week due to western disturbance activity

It looks like the weather pattern for next week will be influenced by the western disturbance, with the possibility of rain and snow in some areas.
As the western disturbance is expected to become active on 8 February, we could see light to moderate rain in the northern and northwestern regions, along with snowfall in mountainous areas.
This could bring some relief to the Rabi crops that were affected by the previous cold weather and fog, especially in areas like Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh.
The rain would help reduce the risk of damage to crops, especially since Rabi crops are more vulnerable to extreme heat and hailstorms. However, the ongoing temperature rise could cause some concern if it becomes too warm for the crops.
The good news is that intermittent rain could balance things out, potentially preventing further damage.
If the weather conditions remain favorable, with clouds and cooler temperatures in the coming days, the crops could benefit.
The arrival of the new mustard and gram crops is expected to pick up after mid-February, and wheat will likely start arriving around mid-March.
