Pea Prices Show Improvement
★ Compared to Saturday, pea prices increased by Thursday. In Kanpur, bilty peas rose by ₹150 to ₹4,250 per quintal, while in Orai prices increased by ₹150 to ₹4,100 per quintal.
★ In Mumbai, Canada-origin peas and Russia-origin peas increased by ₹25 each, reaching ₹4,000 and ₹3,900 per quintal, respectively. These prices are higher than the average levels recorded in February.
★ The rise in pea prices is mainly due to higher import parity caused by the ongoing global conflict and weak domestic crop prospects.
★ Further improvement in pea prices is expected in the coming period.
