News Capsule: Wheat Procurement to Begin from April 10 in Madhya Pradesh; SOP Issued
★ The Madhya Pradesh government has issued a revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for wheat procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the Rabi Marketing Season 2026–27. The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection has directed all agencies to ensure smooth implementation of procurement operations.
★ As per the guidelines, wheat procurement will commence from April 10, 2026 in the Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, and Narmadapuram divisions, while in the remaining divisions of the state, procurement will begin from April 15, 2026.
★ The government has instructed all concerned agencies—including the Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation, Warehousing and Logistics Corporation, and district collectors—to ensure necessary preparations in accordance with the prescribed SOP.
