News Capsule: Myanmar’s rice exports increase
★ Myanmar exported more than 2.5 million tons of rice and broken rice during the first 11 months (April–February) of the fiscal year 2025-26, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation.
★ The country earned about $790 million from rice exports during this period. Rice and broken rice were shipped to more than 30 countries and regions through both sea and land routes.
★ In the previous fiscal year 2024-25, Myanmar exported a total of 2.48 million tons of rice and broken rice.
