News Capsule: Kharif Oilseeds Harvesting Status as on 24 November 2025
★ Kharif oilseeds harvesting is progressing rapidly across the country. According to the latest data, about 92.54% of the total oilseeds area has been harvested. Major crops include groundnut (92.57%), soybean (99.98%), sunflower (74%), sesame (89.86%), niger (50.84%) and castor (2.09%).
Soybean
★ 100% harvested in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and most other states.
★ Uttar Pradesh has recorded 95% harvesting.

Groundnut
★ 100% harvested in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Telangana.
★ Andhra Pradesh – 70%, Karnataka – 30%, Maharashtra – 60%, Tamil Nadu – 78% harvested.

Sesame
★ 100% harvested in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Gujarat.
★ Uttar Pradesh – 95%, Madhya Pradesh – 75% and harvesting continues in other regions.

★ 100% harvested in Andhra Pradesh and Bihar.
★ Karnataka – 75%, Maharashtra – 50% and harvesting is progressing in other areas.

★ 100% harvested in Telangana and Karnataka.
★ Andhra Pradesh – 30%, Tamil Nadu – 20% and harvesting continues in other regions.
