News Capsule: Increase in Tur and Urad Exports from Myanmar: OATA 
★ Early export trends of pulses from Myanmar show that during January–February 2026, exports of both urad and tur increased compared to last year.
★ Urad exports during January–February 2026 were around 157,712 tonnes, compared to about 149,825 tonnes in the same period of 2025. This reflects an increase of roughly 7,887 tonnes. In 2024, exports during the same period were about 139,651 tonnes, indicating that this year’s exports are higher than the past two years.
★ In the case of tur, exports during January–February 2026 were about 41,916 tonnes, which is around 7,585 tonnes higher than the 34,331 tonnes exported in the same period of 2025. However, exports during the same period in 2024 were about 64,417 tonnes, meaning the current year’s level is still significantly lower than 2024.
★ Overall, in the first two months of 2026, Myanmar’s exports of urad and tur have improved compared to 2025, although tur exports remain below the levels seen in 2024.
