★ Bangladesh has issued a tender for the import of 50,000 MT of non-basmati rice.
★ Indian exporters have won several recent tenders, but this has not yet impacted domestic markets, as large rice stocks are already available and crop production has been strong for several years. At present, the likelihood of any significant price rise remains low.
