खाद्य पदार्थों की महंगाई दर पर सरकार की होगी कड़ी नजर
★ उपभोक्ता मंत्रालय 22 एसेंशियल कमोडिटी जिसमें चावल, आटा, गेहूं, चीनी, गुड़, दाल, तेल शामिल है को बढ़ाकर अतिरिक्त 16 नई जिन्स को जोड़ रहा है यानी अतिरिक्त 16 आइटम की होगी डेली प्राइस चेकिंग। इन 16 जिंसों में अधिकतर सब्जियां शामिल हैं।
★ अभी हाल ही में आरबीआई ने बढ़ती गर्मी व जल संसाधनों में पानी की कमी को देख भविष्य में सब्जियों, फलों और खाद्यानों की कीमतें बढ़ने की चिंता जताई थी। साथ ही कहा था कि रबी सीजन के दौरान हो रही दलहनों व सब्जियों की आवक पर रखी जाए कड़ी नजर।
★ मंत्रालय के अनुसार मई में मंगाई दर 8.69% रही जो अप्रैल के दौरान 8.7% थी। मई 2023 में महंगाई दर 2.9% थी।

The government will keep a close watch on the inflation rate of food items
★ The Consumer Ministry is adding additional 16 new commodities to 22 essential commodities including rice, flour, wheat, sugar, jaggery, pulses, oil, i.e. daily price checking of additional 16 items will be done. Most of these 16 commodities include vegetables.
★ Recently, RBI had expressed concern about the rising prices of vegetables, fruits and food grains in future due to increasing heat and shortage of water in water resources. It also said that a close watch should be kept on the arrival of pulses and vegetables during the Rabi season.
★ According to the ministry, the inflation rate in May was 8.69%, which was 8.7% during April. The inflation rate in May 2023 was 2.9%.
