International Soybean Market
The USDA this morning announced a private export sale of 110,000 metric tons of soybeans to an unknown destination for 2024/25 shipment.
As of Sunday, 18% of the U.S. soybean crop had been planted, ahead of the 5-year average pace of 12%. Out of the 18 states reported by USDA, only Kentucky (KY) was behind the average planting pace; all other states were at or above the normal rate.
According to Argentina’s Agriculture Ministry, soybean sales by producers are the slowest in 11 years, as farmers are holding onto their crop due to uncertainty over currency exchange rates and a slower harvest.
