ICE cotton futures closed Monday’s session with nearby contracts up 55 to 75 points. Crude oil futures were up $0.87 per barrel on the day at $64.41. The US dollar index fell 0.771 points to 96.735.
On The Seam, sales of 3,066 bales were recorded on February 6 at an average price of 58.61 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index fell 40 points on Friday to 72.80 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks increased by another 18,564 bales on February 6, bringing total certified stocks to 93,561 bales. The Adjusted World Price declined by another 42 points last Thursday to 49.78 cents per pound.
