International Cotton Market
ICE cotton futures closed mostly higher on Thursday, with gains of 4 to 25 points across contracts. External factors showed mixed influence as the US Dollar Index rose 779 points, and crude oil prices increased by $1.40 per barrel.
The Seam reported online sales of 7,129 bales on December 31 at an average price of 51.61 cents per pound. Certified ICE cotton stocks remained unchanged at 20,113 bales on Tuesday.
The Cotlook A Index fell 50 points to 78.90 cents per pound on December 31. The USDA set the 2025 cotton marketing assistance loan rate at 52 cents.
