The key markets for Indian textile products include the US and the European Union, with readymade garments being the largest contributor,
accounting for 41 percent of the country's total textile exports. Cotton textiles follow closely, contributing 33 percent, while man-made textiles make up 15 percent.
India's textile export performance has shown strong growth in 2024, with notable increases in the export of readymade garments (35 percent year-over-year growth) and other textile categories.
Additionally, India's textile imports saw a decline of 15 percent in 2023-24, suggesting that the country is a net exporter of textiles.
