Grain Stocks in Central Pool Show Annual Growth, Rice Remains the Pillar of Strength: FCI

 The total stock stood at 500.03 lakh tons, which is 1.95 lakh tons less than 501.98 lakh tons in March 2025. However, this figure is 167.98 lakh tons higher compared to April 2023.

 Rice stock increased to 382.09 lakh tons, 133.49 lakh tons higher than in April 2023. It also rose by 14.17 lakh tons compared to the previous month.

 Wheat stock fell to 117.94 lakh tons, marking a decline of 16.12 lakh tons from March 2025. However, it is still 34.49 lakh tons more than the same time last year.

 Paddy witnessed a significant drop of 87.24 lakh tons compared to last month, but is still 95.08 lakh tons higher than April 2023.

 Coarse grains amounted to 1.31 lakh tons, slightly higher than last month but lower compared to the previous year.
