The Central Government, with the participation of the states, has announced the launch of Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana in the General Budget 2025-26.

It not only incorporates the existing schemes but also includes some special additional measures.

This scheme will be implemented in 100 districts of the country where the yield rate of crops remains low, its intensity is seen to be low and where farmers receive less loan than the general average.

The objective of this scheme is to increase the yield rate of various agricultural crops, promote crop diversification and adopt sustainable agricultural methods.

Apart from this, the objectives of this scheme also include the development and expansion of storage facilities at the Panchayat and Block level after harvesting,

improving irrigation facilities and providing long-term and short-term loan facilities to farmers. About 1.70 crore farmers of the country are expected to benefit from this scheme.
