Fennel - Fennel strengthened due to exporters selling
New Delhi. There has been an improvement in the prices of fennel for the last 2/3 days. Although the local trade is decreasing, but due to the exporters buying at reduced prices, the prices are rising.

It is noteworthy that last week the export price of fennel in the markets of Gujarat was being quoted at Rs 78/79 per kg, which is being quoted at Rs 86/88 per kg today. Due to which,

during the current week, the prices of fennel in the spot markets have also been increased by Rs 300/400 per quintal. During the current season,

the production of fennel in the country has been more than last year. Last year the production of fennel was 20/22 lakh bags. Which is estimated to increase to 38/40 lakh bags this year. Due to higher production, the prices of fennel have also halved compared to last year. Due to which further decline in current prices is not possible.
