According to EIA data released Wednesday morning, ethanol production for the week ending March 6 increased by 31,000 barrels per day from the previous week to 1.126 million barrels per day. Ethanol stocks declined by 757,000 barrels to 25.58 million barrels. During the same period, refiner inputs of ethanol increased by 37,000 barrels per day to 901,000 barrels per day. Meanwhile, gasoline product supplied (implied gasoline demand) rose 11.4% to 9.24 million barrels per day.
Export Sales data will be released Thursday morning. Traders are expecting old crop corn sales for the week ending March 5 to be between 0.8 and 2.2 million metric tons, while new crop sales are expected to range between 0 and 150,000 metric tons.
