Export sales data for the week ending February 26 will be released this morning. Analysts expect old crop corn sales to be between 0.6 and 1.6 million metric tons. According to a Reuters survey, new crop business is estimated in the range of 0 to 100,000 metric tons. However, last Thursday a private export sale of 154,000 metric tons of corn for the 2026/27 marketing year to Japan was reported.
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), ethanol production for the week ending February 27 declined to 1.095 million barrels per day, down 18,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Ethanol stocks increased by 691,000 barrels to 26.337 million barrels. During the same week, ethanol exports rose by 76,000 barrels per day to 217,000 barrels per day, while refinery inputs declined by 2,000 barrels per day to 864,000 barrels per day.
